Francine Taylor

Fran Taylor is one of the design team who is based locally, consequently enabling her to have a very ‘hands on’ approach when designing gardens. Fran collaborates closely with the landscaping and maintenance teams to bring gardens from the concept phase to vibrant realities.

As a seasoned designer, Fran combines  years of experience with extensive planting knowledge, an eye for detail, colour and what will work best and stand the test of time.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Frans achievements go beyond awards. She loves turning tricky spaces into extraordinary havens, pushing the limits of design. Seeing clients enjoy and use their outdoor space is what drives her creativity and passion.

EARLY CAREER

Fran is an Art Scholar who went on to gain a first class degree from University in Geography with a further diploma with distinction in Garden Design. Consequently Fran is able to blend her love of the environment with her design skills to produce beautiful garden designs that work with rather than against nature.

After University, Fran spent 3 years in the Tokyo and subsequently a further 5 years in London, working as an Account Manager in Relocation to Investment Banks. Managing clients and expectations, international moves, children and schooling, has proved invaluable working with clients through challenging experiences and making them seem enjoyable rather than stressful.

APPROACH

Her love of gardens and nature is apparently obvious, but it’s her infectious drive and determination that spill over into her work, that ‘can do’ attitude that nothing is insurmountable.

As well as loving gardens and all things to do with design, you will usually find Fran on a bicycle in the Alps, running with her Vizslas, skiing, scuba diving or travelling! Her mantra  ‘Determination, Vision, Hard work and a good leap of faith!’
