CGLA transformed this mature Beaconsfield plot into a naturalistic garden with bold planting, improved flow, and a series of defined yet relaxed spaces. The design balances structure with softness, framing views and enhancing the home's connection to its woodland setting.
Naturalistic Garden Design Brief
The client wanted to unify the landscape around the home while creating inviting, functional spaces with a strong planting structure and better circulation. Challenges included dense tree cover at the rear, steep gradients near a degraded pond, and disjointed planting that blocked key views. The front garden also lacked impact and offered little kerb appeal.
Woodland-Inspired Design Approach
Our approach focused on improving movement through the site, opening up key views and creating better connections between front and rear gardens. A reimagined ornamental pond now acts as a focal point, with strong colour used in a confined space to encourage exploration.
New pathways weave through the woodland, while refined lawns and carefully placed beds define the structure of the space. Views from interior rooms have been enhanced, and the driveway now features swathes of layered planting that introduce a strong sense of welcome.
