The client sought to transform a traditional cottage garden into a refined, easy-to-maintain space that would suit family living. The brief called for an updated front approach, a practical resin-bound driveway, generous entertaining areas, and planting that combined structure and seasonal interest without compromising the charm of the period property.
Blending Modern Landscaping with Traditional Style
Our design combines classic materials with modern detailing. Natural stone paving and corten steel accents were paired with a resin-bound driveway framed by granite setts, creating a durable and elegant approach. These elements elevate the kerb appeal of the property while respecting its heritage character.
A sleek metal pergola introduces a contemporary focal point and a sheltered entertaining area for year-round use, bringing modern functionality without disrupting the traditional aesthetic.

The planting scheme uses roof-form trees to add height and architectural interest, complemented by existing beech hedging for privacy and structure.
