CGLA was appointed to design the gardens for this striking new build, enhancing recent additions including a swimming pool, linked pool house and tennis pavilion. The landscape unifies existing elements with new features, creating a seamless flow between the house, terraces and wider grounds.
Landscape Design Brief
The client sought a cohesive garden that would reflect the scale and quality of the property. The brief included creating a dining and entertaining space by the pool, integrating the tennis pavilion, and ensuring the grounds delivered structure, elegance and unity while retaining existing planting and hardscape where appropriate.
Our Garden Design Approach
Our design focused on linking the house, terraces, pool area and gardens into one harmonious composition. Layered planting, flowing connections and carefully positioned focal points were used to maximise the property’s expansive rear views and ensure every space feels inviting and functional for both entertaining and family life.
Key Features of the Garden
A striking rill forms the centrepiece of the pool terrace, adding a sense of calm and drama while leading the eye through the garden. Generous dining and seating areas create versatile outdoor living spaces, while new planting adds structure, texture and seasonal interest across the site.
A former car park was reimagined as a welcoming courtyard with softened edges and strong visual appeal. At the entrance, strategic tree planting improves screening and creates a memorable sense of arrival befitting this impressive home.
