Set in the heart of rural Coleshill, this garden surrounds a beautifully refurbished home with far-reaching views and mature trees. The brief was to bring the garden up to the contemporary standard of the house, while remaining sympathetic to its rural setting.

The main terrace was paved in sawn natural stone, softened with herringbone brick detailing and surrounded by ornamental grasses and carefully selected specimen trees. This creates a calm and refined space that complements the home’s elevated finish.

Landscaped Pool & Garden Pathways

The existing swimming pool was reworked to better suit its setting. Grass steps and gentle banking were introduced, along with new stone sett paving to match the main terrace. These changes helped integrate the pool naturally into the wider landscape.

Paths throughout the garden are formed using traditional Breedon Gravel, chosen for its soft golden tone and firm surface. It sits beautifully within the planting and lawn areas, reinforcing the garden’s natural character.

Layered Planting with Movement & Colour

The planting scheme plays a central role in the design. Masses of ornamental grasses create a flowing, natural feel, while colourful perennials and sculptural shrubs add structure and seasonal interest. The result is a garden that feels expansive and tranquil, with texture and movement throughout.
